A compiler for public catering tenders
Move the contract, move the menu.
Paste your draft catering tender. This kit compiles plant-forward requirements into it — each clause carrying the source it stands on — adds a weighted bid-scoring sheet, flags what has no source and what your draft is missing, and hands back a finished, exportable document.
What this is
A document compiler for public-sector food procurement. It turns a broad commitment to better food into tender language suppliers must answer and evaluation teams can score — not a chatbot draft you have to verify.
Who it is for
Local authority and school trust food buyers, and the advocates working with them. This first release covers one jurisdiction and one setting: England, local-authority school catering contracts.
What it has to do with animals
A catering contract decides years of meals at a stroke. England’s school food standards still assume meat or poultry on three or more days each week. This kit pushes the contract past that baseline — a plant-based hot main every day, pulses weekly, a meat-free day, half of hot mains plant-based by year two — so fewer hens, fish, cows and pigs are bred and killed for public meals.

Your draft tender
Plain text or Markdown for now — .txt and .md files can be loaded below. Word files are not read this release; paste their text instead.
Step 2 of 4
Plant-forward requirements
Every clause carries its source, quoted from the page it came from. Clauses marked no statutory source are this kit’s own policy asks — they are flagged the same way in the exported tender, so nothing is published looking more authoritative than it is.
Step 3 of 4
Weighted bid criteria
Under the Procurement Act 2023 the contract goes to the most advantageous tender, and where there is more than one criterion their relative importance must be shown — weightings do that. Edit the weights; they must total 100.
